Wild Cascade Mountain Wedding | Jenise + Kyle
Jenise has been there for me since elementary school. She effortlessly guided our dear friends and I through the annoying awkwardness that was adolescence, and emerged without many embarrassing teenage moments of her own. She throws a mean Halloween party, or any party, and has always supported us all in every adventure, and misstep, we might attempt.
Caught in the middle of fire season, on a smokey August Saturday this lovely girl, my dear friend, married her one and only. We gathered for an intimate ceremony on a hilltop surrounded by the hazy meadows and mountains of Cascade, Idaho. I could not have imagined a better man for her journey through life than Kyle. His smart mouth keeps us all in check and his hilarious, yet distinctly dad-like, bad jokes will entertain her for years to come.
The backyard, DIY-ed wedding was inspired by Jenise's love for succulents and the couples good humor. There was no official bridal party, but all of us girls decked out in shades of green. Their outdoor patio reception was loose and open to the mountain breezes with air plants hanging above the tables and paper succulents decorating the signs.
A close friend of Kyle led the couple through a Dudeist ceremony, complete with a couple of rugs that really tied the room together. And of course their pups got to be front and center.
