Relaxed Bogus Basin Wedding | Shaun + Spencer

As soon as you arrived, you knew who this wedding was for. The day was filled with conversations and corn hole, not cell phones or social media updates. Even photos weren't a priority. Shaun & Spencer’s focus was on appreciating the friends and family who came to support their love. 

HOW THEY MET

While we all went to Boise High School together, their’s is not your typical high school sweetheart story. Shaun & Spencer spent nearly all our high school years mostly unaware of each other. It wasn't until one of the all-night graduation celebrations that they actually talked together, deeply. And yes, there were sparks. But there was also college on opposite sides of the country looming ahead of them.

But that's just how life goes. Even if it's the right person, it's not always the right time. Eventually their lives verged back together, and when the right time came, Spencer proposed during a rainy fat-bike ride along the beaches of the Oregon Coast. A state they now called home together.

A RELAXING WEDDING DAY WITH FRIENDS

Their wedding was a colorful affair held outdoors at Bogus Basin on a clear August day.  Family on both sides arrived early to stay in the cabins on the mountain as well as a strong RV contingent in the parking lot. Beer on tap and plenty of corn hole games kept them occupied while Shaun, Spencer, and friends goofed off in the name of "getting ready".

The boys sat around nervously and reminisced while taking care of final details of this DIYed wedding. The gals debated merits of false lashes, joked together and passed the time watching Mama Mia.
